Inspired too reach out (haibun)

We Drink Poetry Inspiration – Prompt #012 What Inspires You

This is not poetic in nature, and to call it a free verse is using the term loosely. However, I wanted to share where my writing all began at Alecoute-Ntouch, a site informing folks of workshops I was offering on life skills and professional and personal development. But then I got acquainted with WordPress and the world of blogging and discovered I had a lot to say too…

(haiku)

An idea simmers.
Words produce an awareness
conscious convictions.

I began writing to voice my thoughts
with Cher Shares, that was my first start,
voicing opinions, I sure did have a lot;
And then I was inspired by Herding Cats
that’s when my vision shifted a tat
I got on my soap box hoping to make a dent
at Stigma Hurts Everyone I wanted to vent,
yell out to the world that which is important
to me, things just needed to be heard,
nothing exceptional because some
may even have a knack to say it better
but maybe if we shout out loudly together
our voices may be heard that much noisier.
And then Cher Shares became a comfort zone
to write a story here, there, or even a poem
And, that’s the tale of how it all started
my story of a humble love affair
of words that I write from the heart
of passion, love and sometimes conviction
that’s why I blog, where I got my inspiration.

What if skies were pink?

What would you think

if skies had hues

of shades of pink?

…and hues of gold
and grey that wink.

I just might miss

those shades of blue

Lest not forget

drops of honey too!

Those lovely summer sunsets

that exhibit mottled sets

of different shades and lovely hues

some greys that take the place of blues.

I’m still in love with blue

you see, I tend to sway

with tints of  day

my eyes display

shades  grey and blue

just like the skies that bid adieu.

Oh!

that must be why

I stay up late

to see the sky

turn into night.

What would you think?

What would you think
if skies had hues
of shades of pink?

…and hues of gold
and grey that wink.

I just might miss
those shades of blue
lest not forget
drops of honey too!

Those lovely summer sunsets
 that exhibit mottled sets
of different shades and lovely hues
some greys that take the place of blues.

And as the sun bids it’s farewell
we see the blues come back to life
and marry pink to make its wife
with just a hint of Honeywell.

I’m still in love with blue
you see, I tend to sway
with tints of day
my eyes display
shades grey and blue
just like the skies that bid adieu.

Oh!
 that must be why
I stay up late
to see the sky
turn into night.

She had pink hair

Sept 26th spiritual aha moments and blue skies 013

On my way to work today
I listened to the music play
gazing here, admiring there,
reflecting shades from trees
sky looked aquamarine.
Got to parc Alphonse Lépine
saw a girl seated on a bench
so tranquil, calm and serene
admiring nature and listenin’
to music she had on her mp-3.
Hair beholdin’ deep pink hues
looked like it been dipped in fruits
like Pomegranate or raspberry,
looked funky, cool and trendy.
Unusual, yes, but her calm nature
pulled it off quite, nearly elegant!
seemed tall and slim of stature
when I got closer, she grinned.
I asked her if I could take
a photo of her, which just might
inspire me to write.

october-1st-and-september-29th-112
Her eyes widened, impressed,
flattered , she sat up straight
so she could properly partake
“click” the snapshot did take.
That sure made my day
I really have to say
I walked to work with a goofy smile
I had not really felt
like this in quite a while.
People who are kind and considerate
to a perfect stranger like me in a park,
warm my heart that the city didn’t rob
their genuine kindness away,
or harden them in any way.
Being a small town gal like me
I thrive on human kindness, Don’t you?
This now, restores my faith in humanity.

Autumn Leaves

Autumn leaves
that flock the trees
parks are mixed
with season`s pics.

Oh dear I`m going to be late
but this just cannot wait
Click click, see the yellow leaves
Change is among us, I do believe.
I look above, at the firmament hue
which forms a splendid natural backdrop
providing an artist his canvas so blue
Mother nature smiles at her crafted milieu.

Autumn leaves
that flock the trees
parks are mixed
with season`s pics.

Is compassion enough?

it seemed so hopeless
and hard to see the light
walking in the darkness
having lost sight
blind to any likely hope
focus only on despair
not seeing some DO care
that love is everywhere
one may just not be aware
yet…
misery is tormenting sometimes
but still … temporary…
suicide is tragic every time
yet still … permanent!
somehow we must try
harder
somehow we must speak
louder
somehow we must hear
better
somehow we must help
further
somehow we must never
stop trying, reaching, talking, listening
and above all caring.

Brainchild cure

My heart goes out to them,

for those who truly can’t stop

Yet they try real hard

and are so misunderstood

I wish I could invent a cure

for those who feel such pain

I’d call it my “brainchild”cure

and give away the services

And never ever sell my patent

especially to drug companies

those selfish greedy cretins

who care not for cures but money

Money is all they want.

So BrainChild cure would devote

Its time to help  all the folks

who suffer and self-harm;

Each person, once cured,

would have 3 powers

to share to anyone who self-harms;

So each person cured multiplied

by 3 multiplied by all the sufferers

of this condition and then delete

all such afflictions eventually, it

would certainly put a huge DENT

in rendering Self-Harm obsolete.
