death lingers (tanka)

Written for Milan Rajkumar’s prompt at Triven: World Haiku Utsav

prompt : dry
sea waves
salty breeze mingles with
dried tears of autumn

(c ) milan rajkumar

spring rain
never seems to wash away
scent of decay hangs

scent of decay hangs
even under drier skies
death still lingers

    1. Have not checked the stats today …out of fear and mostly I wanted to get things done…walked, did laundry, washed my floor and spoke almost 3 hours with a friend I had not spoken to in years….nah, I will eat first so I can enjoy my meal…THEN I will check up on Health Canada to see the stats https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/diseases/2019-novel-coronavirus-infection.html?topic=tilelink Yeah, I will check it out after 6…and try to take advantage of the sunny day on m balcony…it is 8C today…yay!!! spring is slowly coming. 🙂

      1. I did check but it was later after I had completed chores. Bastet is in a heck of a place during this time. It is raining on and off today. The temp is 19 C right now. Enjoy your sunny day, my friend. Peace, Janice
